As a practitioner spanning both traditional commerce and the digital economy, my life trajectory has always revolved around the concept of "connection." Born into a merchant family near the center of Cairo, my early experiences of running the family-owned fruit shop and engaging in logistics and transportation endowed me with a deep understanding of physical business operations. In 2005, my encounter with Chinese investors initiated a two-decade-long journey of cross-cultural business exploration, ranging from supply chain management in Chinese manufacturing enterprises to regional operations in internet technology companies. This journey not only allowed me to systematically grasp modern enterprise management systems but also deeply comprehend the internet mindset of "user supremacy."
During my involvement in building the largest Chinese platform in North Africa, my passion for the digital economy was ignited. Through systematic learning of platform operation strategies, I gradually formed the entrepreneurial concept of "empowering traditional industries with technology." Zhima Tongcheng Media Company, founded in 2023, is the practical outcome of this concept. Its "My Service" platform (www.eghuaren.com) provides intelligent lifestyle services in six languages for foreigners in Egypt, and has completed its service network layout in five major cities including Cairo and Alexandria, addressing the daily cross-border lifestyle needs of over 2,000 people.
From a fruit shop owner by the Nile to a builder of the digital Silk Road, I have always believed that true commercial value lies in eliminating information asymmetry, and this is the best footnote to my professional career of the past two decades.
